"Receive the Power": Be a Host Family

In order to accommodate festival participants who come from overseas and outside Canberra, we are inviting local families and households to welcome one or more young travellers into their home for the week.

If you would like to welcome a young person who may come from France, Latvia, Brunei, Australia or elsewhere in the world, we'd like to invite you to contact us.

Welcoming someone for a week is very simple and doesn't require much effort or special preparation.

It consists in :

• providing a warm comfortable place to sleep from the evening of Tuesday 8 July up to (and in some cases including) Sunday 13 July
• dropping participants off at the festival site (the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture in Barton) for 9.00am daily
• picking them up in the evening at 9.30pm daily
• providing supper one night and a picnic lunch twice

All host families are invited to come and participate in events during the week and to join us for times of prayer and celebration (see the Open Events program).
