The Siloam Centre
In 1980, the Chemin Neuf Community was offered the historic Montagnieu Fortress in Isère (France) and responded to a call to set up a spiritual centre where health problems could be dealt with in the context of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Today, the Siloam Centre welcomes people seeking to renew their physical and spiritual resources as well as offering training in this area. It is staffed by members of the Chemin Neuf Community, doctors, therapists and people providing spiritual accompaniment.
At the Siloam Centre each individual is seen as a whole person with their physical, psychic and spiritual dimensions.
The Centre offers:
- Life in a community following the rhythm of the liturgical offices and times of prayer
- Personal spiritual accompaniment and retreats
- A place for research and training
The Siloam Mission
The Siloam Mission offers several types of retreats for inner healing, reconciliation with one's past, review of one's life with the help and light of the Holy Spirit: 'anamnesis' (a four day retreat), the 'Siloam cycle' (which takes place over a year), as well as 'Prayer and Fasting' retreats.
At each retreat session:
- Personalised spiritual accompaniment
- Times for silent prayer with passages from the Bible
- Talks and teachings
- Creative or physical workshops
These retreat sessions take place in France (Montagnieu, Lyon, Ile de France, Marseille, and more) and in a dozen other countries (Poland, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Martinique, Ivory Coast, and more).
