Priests, religious, consecrated celibate sisters
serving the Church
Among its members, the Community includes over 300 brothers and sisters who have chosen celibacy for the Kingdom:
approximately 150 priests and brothers undergoing formation for the priesthood and 150 sisters.
These celibate brothers and sisters live according to the three evangelical counsels of chastity, poverty, and obedience, which are explicitly written into their Constitutions.
The priests and brothers are part of the Chemin Neuf Religious Institute. The celibate sisters are members of the Public Association of the Christian Faithful.
In Chemin Neuf houses the pattern of each day is guided by the prayer of the Community
personal prayer and Morning Prayer,
Mass (generally at midday),
Evening Prayer and silent prayer or Adoration of the Blessed Sacrement.
The celibate brothers and sisters serve, as do the couples, in retreat centres, parishes, student residences, various sessions and formation programmes run by the Community.
